OUR STRUCTURE

STOP THE TRAFFIK has grown so successfully since its inception in 2006 because of the ability of STOP THE TRAFFIK to both franchise its campaign and allow flexibility in how the campaign seeds itself and develops according to the place, people and patterns where it takes root.

This document lays out a process and structure that will continue to encourage that to happen as well as providing security, order and protection for the STOP THE TRAFFIK campaign and brand across the world.

STOP THE TRAFFIK Members

STOP THE TRAFFIK is a global movement of members. Members are defined as individuals or a group (e.g. school, community group, faith group, business, organisation or individual) who have agreed to operate within the terms of the STOP THE TRAFFIK Charter.

STOP THE TRAFFIK Partners

A STOP THE TRAFFIK partner is a group that operates in a given region or nation acting as a coordinating agency for the campaign. It is a role whose function is to inform, resource and drive forward the aims of STOP THE TRAFFIK through the global initiatives

STOP THE TRAFFIK Trustee Board

STOP THE TRAFFIK is the charity that holds the name and legal rights to the use of the brand. It chooses to work closely with partners globally who hold a STOP THE TRAFFIK Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

The Partner/STOP THE TRAFFIK relationship is one of mutual responsibility and accountability.

The MOU sets out those specific expressions of responsibility and accountability and must be signed by any partner.

The initiative or right to grant partnership status to any third party entity either to operate on a national or regional basis remains the prerogative of the STOP THE TRAFFIK board.
