Chab Dai, Cambodia

Chab Dai Coalition in Cambodia is planning their Freedom Day events for Friday 23rd March.  On this day they will organise a joint formal event of both Cambodian Government and International Embassy officials, hosted by the British Embassy in Phnom Penh.  We hope to have a ceremony with speeches and a trailer of the Amazing Grace Movie as well as some real stories of slavery from Cambodia.  This will be followed by a releasing of birds to symbolize freedom.  In the evening there will be a multi-media staged event.  This will be hosted by one of the Cambodian TV presenters and we will have a band, traditional freedom/peace dance, trailer of the Amazing Grace movie and a prevention DVD.  We hope to have a thousand candles lit for the event. World Vision, the British Embassy, Save the Children and a number of others will be co-sponsors of this event.
