THE GLOBAL FUND
In February 2008, STOP THE TRAFFIK delivered more than 1.5 million signatures to the United Nations, calling for more to be done to fight people trafficking around the world. The declaration called for more to be done to prevent the sale of people, protect the victims and prosecute the traffickers.
The global crime of people trafficking is increasing daily. It affects all nations and all people. This is the world's problem and will demand a global solution. STOP THE TRAFFIK wants to be at the heart of this solution, and so at the United Nations conference held by the Global Initiative to Fight Trafficking, we launched the STOP THE TRAFFIK Global Fund to finance projects which link together across a region to fight people trafficking in a comprehensive manner.
