Easter

Information and resources to help you celebrate a traffik free Easter.

Tons of chocolate is consumed around the world during the Easter season. This makes Easter an opportune moment to raise awareness about the issue of human trafficking in the chocolate industry. Below are some ideas for actions you can take with your community at Easter.

Engage local supermarkets

One area that you can focus your energies is with your local supermarkets. Every year supermarkets shelves will be stacked high with thousands of Easter eggs for consumption, but how many of these are a certified product.

You can play a vital role in getting the people around you to target your local supermarket to give you their plan to stock more certified eggs. It is vital that supermarkets hear your voice. They must know that you, the customer, are very concerned about this issue and that you want to see action taken.

You can do this by getting people in your local community to go into your local supermarkets and see how many certified Easter Eggs you can find for purchase.

Once you have the number, download and complete our template letter and send it to the manager at the supermarket.
