Qatar Key Judgements

Key Judgments on the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar.

In 2022, Qatar hosted the FIFA World Cup, attracting thousands of football fans from all corners of the world. However, an influx of so many people into one city can make it easier for exploitative crimes to go unrecognised.

Vulnerable people could be lured in by false promises of work, but instead find themselves trapped in commercial exploitation. STOP THE TRAFFIK Group & It’s a Penalty joined forces to run a digital campaign focused on intelligence-led prevention.

The activities were geo-targeted in several languages and aimed at fans attending the World Cup in Qatar. The campaign aimed to spread awareness about exploitation, how to spot the signs and how to report safely and confidentially via the STOP APP.
