Title: Group Full Stack Developer

Location: London SE1, hybrid working with 2 days/week in person

Hours: Full Time

Responsible to: Head of Data and Technology

Salary: £26,776 – £28,823

STOP THE TRAFFIK is looking to recruit a Full Stack Developer. This role is critical to our organisation’s long- term scalability and sustainability.

The successful candidate will be a core member of the Data and Technology Team, which is critical to leading our organisation’s intelligence led approach, building secure, safe, scalable systems.


  • Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
  • Design client-side and server-side architecture
  • Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design
  • Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
  • Write effective APIs
  • Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
  • Create security and data protection settings
  • Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design
  • Write technical documentation
  • Work with data scientists and analysts to improve software, maintain and develop the mobile application in react native
  • Collaborate on code in GitHub with other developers in the team
  • Participate in code development from specifications, design, build test and release
  • Work and partner with supplier and pro-bono companies
  • Work with team members to maintain the Back End data pipelines and data stores
  • Integrate results of AI/ML models into the web visualisations
  • Input into prioritisation on User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) and ensure a smooth user experience

Required skills and experience:

  • Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role
  • Experience developing desktop and mobile applications
  • Familiarity with common stacks
  • Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g., HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)
  • Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g., C#, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, Node.js)
  • Familiarity with databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g., Apache) and UI/UX design
  • Experience with SQL
  • Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
  • Great attention to detail, organisational capability, and analytical sense (qualitative and quantitative)
  • Ability to juggle several projects at once at different stages of the process
  • Willingness to learn new skills, particularly in areas where there is no previous proven experience
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with ease and efficiency
