Support the STOP THE TRAFFIK Winter Fundraiser!

The festive season is upon us, and with it, families across the country prepare to exchange gifts and spend time together in a spirit that is loving, grateful and conscious.

After a year of earth-shaking uncertainty, embracing your nearest and dearest safely and in good health is truly a significant act, and something we do not take for granted. As the months get colder, and desperation mounts amongst the world’s most vulnerable to the effects of violence and climate change, people are more at risk than ever of human trafficking and exploitation. With this as our backdrop, we ask you to consider donating to our Winter Fundraising appeal

STOP THE TRAFFIK helps to develop resilient and risk-aware communities with our award-winning preventative campaigns, making it harder for traffickers to recruit new victims. We continue reaching refugees and asylum seekers fleeing conflict with advice and support to help them take preventative action when it comes to potential exploitation. We run free workshops with small and medium-size enterprises using our SME Toolkit. We train organisations to be able to better identify and mitigate potential areas of risk and effectively respond to suspicions, making it harder for traffickers to operate within society.  By working closely with key NGO partners, clients, businesses, financial institutions, and survivors, in 2021 we’ve delivered over 20 global projects including:

  • Running awareness and prevention campaigns in Farsi, Arabic, Urdu, and Bengali, giving vital messages of safety, hope and choice to refugees fleeing conflict in the Middle East. 80% of those reached said that they would take preventative action following our campaigns.
  • We have carried out the first phase of a child exploitation prevention campaign targeting over 700,000 caregivers across the UK with information on indicators of potential exploitation, how to talk to young people about trafficking, and what to do if concerns arise.
  • We have worked with companies such as Costa and Santander to risk map their operations, and our toolkit for small businesses has been downloaded over 2,500 times. We work with businesses to help them understand risk in their supply chains and to eliminate potential exploitation within their operations.

But now STOP THE TRAFFIK needs you to help us deliver this important work. Watch our video below and support our work by donating here
